Annie Lorraine Blaisdell

Annie Lorraine Blaisdell, our mother, grandmother and wife passed away September 1, 2004 at the age of 86. Lorraine was born January 11, 1918 in Malad, Idaho to LeRoy Owen and Mary Lorraine Price Daniels.

She married J. Dale Blaisdell on Christmas Eve, 1935. They lived and worked on their ranch in Malad Valley, where they raised five children: Richard D. and Ramona Blaisdell of Salt Lake City, UT; Caryle Lorraine and David Cooper of Sussex, England; Marilyn K. and Jack Willimott of Hagerman, ID; Jerry D. and Penny Blaisdell of Medoford, OR; and Scott L. and Sharee Blaisdell of Malad, ID.

Lorraine was a master gardener who amazed all at the beautiful flowers and yard when driving past her home. She took special pride in her roses and glads and received several awards at the local fairs.

Lorraine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held several positions including Primary President and Relief Society President. She was on a committee that published a history of the St. John community located in the Malad Valley. She enjoyed Genealogy and helped several people trace their ancestry. She did extensive work on both the Blaisdell and Daniels family history.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Dale, and all five of her children, her two brothers, Farrel Daniels and Rex Daniels, and three sisters, Thelma Wakley, Lela Henderson and Deon Jones. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She will be met on the other side by her mother and father, his sister, Fern Thomas and her brothers, Brig and Ralph Daniels. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held September 6, 2004 in the St. John First Ward building in Malad. Burial followed at the Malad City Cemetery.
