Annie Pannel dies September 9

Annie Elizabeth Lockyer Pannel, 83, died Friday, September 9, at her home in McCammon following an illness. She was born February 4, 1900 to Benjamin and Elizabeth Crowshaw Lockyer in Robin. She lived in Hawkins Basin and went to school in Robin.

She married John Marion Pannel in 1918 in Burley and they made their home in McCammon. Mr. Pannel died October 17, 1966. Mrs. Pannel was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Marion Pannel, Blackfoot, Vern and Ervin Pannel, both of McCammon; five daughters, Mrs. Otis (LaVona) Robbins, Mrs. Roy (Edna) Lafon, Mrs. Paul (Rose) Rees, Mrs. Ralph (Martha) Hiler, all of Pocatello, and Mrs. Leonard (Zina) Davis, Arco; a brother, Frank Lockyer, Shelley; 40 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.

Funeral services were held September 14 at the Manning Funeral Chapel with Rev. Luman Gillman of the First Southern Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Marsh Center Cemetery.
