Amelia Ann Thomas, 70, died Sunday in Calif.

A former Malad resident, Amelia Ann Thomas, age 70, died Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital of complications following surgery.

Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 7, 1902, at Malad, a daughter of Daniel Roy and Rachel Elizabeth Jones Thomas. She was married to George Harold Moss Oct. 30, 1923, at Malad, and they were later divorced. She was a retired employee of Union Pacific Railroad and has moved from Pocatello to Long Beach, Calif, a few years ago. She was an active member of the LDS Church and a past president of Business and Professional Women’s Association in Pocatello.

A son preceded her in death in April, 1948.

Surviving are a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; a brother, LaMar J. Thomas, Malad; two sisters, Mrs. Delmar W. (Sara) Cross, Long Beach; Mrs. Harold W. (Blanche) Foster, Palm Springs, Calif.

Funeral services were conducted at Benson Funeral Home Thursday with Gerald Thomas of Malad Third Ward Bishopric officiating.
