Alvin W. Robbins, 56 of Malad, Idaho passed away December 1, 2013, at the McKay Dee Hospital in Odgen, Ut. He was born July 23, 1957, the 7th son of Hulbert Merlin and Ruth Victoria Anderson Robbins.
He attended Stone Elementary and graduated from Malad High School in 1975. In 1981 after the passing of his father he took over Robbins Grocery and Post Office. Later after the store closed, he also worked at La-Z-Boy and Flying J.
He married the” Love of His Life”, Jayne A. Heyder on January 27, 1989, They grew up side by side and it took them a while to finally see that they were perfect for each other. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
Alvin received a guitar for Christmas as a teenager and things were never the same. He spent hours teaching himself to play and singing for all his friends. He sang for funerals, weddings and the most favorite of all was around the campfire. Anytime he picked up his guitar he had a participating audience. He sang many fun little ditties that had everyone laughing and singing along. Our silver-haired voice of an angel is serenading his loved ones in heaven.
Alvin was a unique, one-of-a-kind, big-hearted gentle giant. He loved to tease and had a great sense of humor. He always was tinkering with something- from woodworking, cars, gardening and his beloved computer, he loved to work in his shop and spent many hours puttering. His greatest accomplishment was his family, but many, many more called him “Pops”. He was known to his family as “Uncle Al”, “Will” and “Big Al”.
He is survived by his wife Jayne, Son, Porter William and Daughter, Aneisha Jayne, Brothers, David Robbins of Murray, Ut. Dick (Sue)Robbins, Malad, Dale Robbins, Malad, Milton (Melanie) Twentynine Palms, Ca and Rex (Sarah) Robbins, Malad, Sisters, Hazel (Glenn) Jones, Malta, Id, Helen Stratton, Pocatello, Vicki Robbins, Ogden, Ut and Mary Ann (David) Reel, Malad.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Merlin and Ruth Robbins, Brothers, Thomas and John, and Sisters, Marion Rhodes and Eileen Williams.

Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 12 noon in the Curlew LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville, Utah. Friends may visit with the Robbins family on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad, Idaho, and on Saturday at the church prior to services from 10:30-11:30 am.
