Alicia Dives Bingham

St. George, UT – Alicia Dives Bingham, 86, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Red Cliffs Regional in St. George, Utah. She was born February 26, 1915, in Malad, Idaho, to Thomas and Ruth Dives.
She attended BYU, served a Spanish speaking mission and graduated from Utah State University in education, serving 35 years in this profession teaching school in Utah, Idaho and Montana.
She married Arthur Elden Bingham on May 4, 1939, in the Salt Lake Temple and later moved to Malad, Idaho, where she raised a family and taught high school. Alicia was a wonderful mother and wife. She had a love for music and was accomplished in piano and organ, sharing her talents playing for church services and teaching others to play. Throughout her 35 years of teaching school, she was able to touch so many young people’s minds and lives through her dedication to education.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, two daughters, three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 19 at the LDS 3rd Ward Chapel in Washington City, Utah. Interment was in Malad, Idaho, with graveside services being held at the Malad Cemetery on Wednesday, March 21.
