John Daniel Igo

Holbrook, Idaho…John Daniel Igo, 58, resident of Holbrook, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2018. John, Big John, to those who knew him, was born on May 27, 1959, in Columbia, Missouri, son of Louis Daniel Igo and Sondra Kay Limpp, who later married David E. Fischer. At 18, John joined the US Army and spent 7 years serving as a tanker. After exiting the military, John met and married Kay Lynn McKinney and had three children. They later divorced, and he then met and married Angela Clough, and had two more children. They also later divorced.

John was passionate about being prepared for natural disasters. He led CERT team trainings, and gave guidance on first aid, food storage and ham radios. Because of his size and strength, he was frequently called upon to help neighbors move in or out of their homes, which was greatly appreciated.

John is survived by his 5 children; John David of Pullman, Washington, Kathy Kay (Mark) Hendriksen of Roy, Utah, Joseph Daniel of Fort Lee, Virginia, Luke Jason and Ruth Anne Igo, both of Roy, Utah. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Sondra, his mother (Sondra), and step-father (David), father (Dan) and step-mother (Susan), as well as his younger brother Stephen Fischer.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. at the Holbrook Chapel (100 N. 100 W.), in Holbrook, Idaho.
