William Dudley Apgood

Mr. William Dudley Apgood, age 78, of 350 Delbert, Idaho Falls died January 25, 1992 at E.I.R.M.C. of complications due to surgery.

He was born September 27, 1913 at Malad, Idaho the son of Sarah Elizabeth Dudley and Frank E. Apgood. He attended school in Malad and graduated from Malad High School in 1913. He played football and baseball in High School. He loved sports and was associated with the Babe Ruth League and the Western Baseball Boys Association for several years.

He married Grace Elizabeth Moser in Willard, Utah on August 20, 1934. They made their home in Idaho and Utah. He spent his work years as a dry farmer, butcher and property manager.

Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Grace E. Apgood, Idaho Falls; daughters, Mrs. Stanley D “Peggy A” Johnson, Idaho Falls; Mrs. R. Lynn “Marcia” Montague, Seattle, Washington; Sons, William Dennis Apgood, Bremerton, Washington; DeWight M. Apgood, Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Funeral services were held on January 28 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, Bishop Glen L. Moss officiated. Interment was in the Fielding Memorial Park Arrangements were under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, Idaho Falls.
