Dolores Emma Norseth Call

CLINTON – Dolores Emma Norseth Call, 85, passed away at home of natural causes due to age, Saturday, December 15, 2001.
She was born to Ole and Emma Jane Norseth of North Ogden in the spring of 1916 on March 27th. She spent that youthful season with her five dear siblings: Sally, Verna, Herman, Ernest, and Marie. She attended Weber County Schools.

On November 28, 1936, she married Phil W. Call, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden temple. Their love for each other proved as steadfast as their vows, enduring some 64 years until Phil’s death in October of last year.

Together, mother and father raised three children: two daughters, Darlene and Judy, and one son, Ron. They raised their children in a circle of providence and love. “By that grace, Mother, we are sustained.”

She gave nothing less to her three grandchildren, Devre, Christy, and Amy, and her great grandchild, Bailey. Grandmother was not just a caregiver, but a wellspring of wisdom and fun. “We honor you, Grandmother; we extend your line*Dolores worked at the Detense Depot of Ogden until she retired. She had a strong work ethic. Of her neighbors and coworkers, she made many a friend.

Despite her disavowals, she was a wonderful cook, a talented gardener, and an expert at crochet. She loved and cared for many pets over her lifetime. She made life rich.

More than ever, this dear woman shone on the holidays. She brought rapture to the feast. She made Thanksgiving and Christmas glow. She lit up a night like a bright star.

She will be missed.

Surviving are her children: Darlene Call, Ogden; Ron (Christine) Call, Ogden; Judy (Butch) Giles, West Point; three grandchildren: Christy (Ron) Deeter, Ogden; Amy (Kyle) Burrell, Layton; Devre Giles, West Point; and one great-granddaughter: Bailey Burrell. She is also survived by her sister: Marie (Keith) Hunter, Roy.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ole and Emma; two sisters: Sally Young and Verna Faulkner; two brothers: Herman Norseth and Ernest Norseth; and a granddaughter: Shelly Call.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., with Clair Childs officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park. The family would like to extend thanks to the care providers at Country Pines in Clinton.
