Ida J. Bolingbroke

Ida J. Bolingbroke, 92, our beloved mother and grandmother, completed her mission on earth and is happily reunited with her husband, Ralph. She died peacefully January 3, 2011.

She was born in Malad, Idaho on August 15, 1918 to Hugh Morgan Griffiths and Eunice Isabell John.

She grew up in Malad and on the family ranch five miles north of town. She was graduated from Malad High School in 1935. She married Ralph Davis Bolingbroke on December 19, 1940 in the Logan Temple.

Her life was centered around her family, friends and the church. She was a lifetime active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully as a Relief Society president, Primary president, visiting teacher and coordinator, nursery instructor, Cub Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and 12 years at the Jordan River Temple as a worker and coordinator. Ralph and Ida served in the Raleigh North Carolina Mission from 1982-83.

She is survived by her sister, Norma (Rudy) Wehrli; brother, Neil (Peggy) Griffiths; three children, Michael Bolingbroke, Dennis (Corinne) Bolingbroke, Ilean (Carl) Jensen, 18 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her brother, Darrell and his wife, Bernice Griffiths.

The family appreciates all the wonderful people who cared for Ida at Country Pines Assisted Living Center in Clinton, Utah, and also to all her neighbors in Murray that were her neighbors and friends for 47 years.

A viewing will be held at the Brownstone Church located at 6410 S. 725 E., Murray, Utah on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with the funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary. Interment will be in Malad, Idaho following the funeral service.
