Henry D. Bolingbroke

Henry D. Bolingbroke, 82, lifetime Malad resident died Monday, August 24 in Logan, Utah. He was born September 7 ,1909 in Malad, a son of Arthur Lusk and Caroline Davis Bolingbroke. His early life was spent on the family farm in Devil Creek where he also attended school.
He married Nettie Thomas May 23, 1933 in Pocatello. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple October 25, 1957.
He spent his life in Malad where he worked on various farms, worked at butchering and for the local Creamery. For several years he had worked as a line man for the California Pacific Power Company and also Utah Power and Light. He retired in the fall of 1974.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spent time with his family.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held the office of High Priest. He had served also as a home teacher, counselor in the Young Men’s Presidency and as a scout leader.
He was a member of the Malad Lions Club and a member of the Malad Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years.
His wife Nettie passed away March 5, 1975. He married Lois A. Summers September 20, 1975 in Logan. After their marriage Henry and Lois spent winter months in Mesa, Arizona.
He is survived by Lois of Malad; two sons, three daughters and their spouses: Keith and Joan Bolingbroke, Tremonton, Utah; Kelly and Patty Bolingbroke, Soda Springs; Tim and Linda Hale, San Martin, California; Bob and Jill Kunde, Salt Lake City, Utah; Don and Dixie Hubbard, Logan, Utah; one step son and wife, Dennis and Connie Summers, Gooding, Idaho; 28 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and seven step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nettie, his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:00 noon at the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Brad Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad.
