WEST HAVEN — Neil William Beeton, 63, died Monday, August 31, 1992 at his home of complications from Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born Oct. 24, 1928 in Woodruff, Idaho, a son of William Neils and Thelma Elvira Moss Beeton.
He married Marion June Smith on Jan. 1, 1949 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was raised and educated in Malad and Woodruff, Idaho. He had lived in Ogden, Oregon, Washington Terrace and in the Kanesville area for the past 36 years.
He was a member of the Kanesville 2nd LDS Ward. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and Assistant; Elder’s Quorum Secretary; Bishop’s Counselor; Bishop; High Priest Assistant; in the Stake Sunday School Presidency and as a Home Teacher.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Beeton had worked for Hill Air Force Base as an electrician. He retired after 37 years of government service. He was also a farmer.
He had served as President and Secretary of Scribner Ditch and was a member of the Farm Bureau and Farmers Grain Co-op.
Surviving are his wife of West Haven; one son and two daughters, Robert Wm. Beeton, Monrovia, Calif.; Mardene Hales, Clinton; Mrs. Chris (Wendy) Gaddis, Logan; one foster son, Dan K. Davis, American Fork, Utah; 12 grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters and one step-sister, Marie Hyde (Don) West Jordan; Dona Faris (Lind), Las Vegas, Nev.; LaDean Bingham, Willard; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Kanesville 2nd Ward Chapel, 3939 West 4000 South, with Bishop Jim Hodgson officiating.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the Ward Chapel from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch where Military Honors will be accorded by the V.F.W.
